Erica M Lyon earned a degree in Mixed Media Studio Art with an emphasis on photography, painting, drawing, and sculpture. Her experience working at The Ansel Adam’s Gallery in Yosemite National Park 2004 – 2005 gave her the opportunity to start focusing on applying the techniques she learned in university into a wilderness setting. While served as a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching art to deaf children in Ghana, West Africa she then learned how to clearly communicate her thoughts and ideas by teaching in sign language.
She is currently works as a sub. teacher and working artist. Outside of work Mrs. Lyon challenges herself with climbing, ice climbing, tele skiing, cycling, running, fly fishing, and alpine climbing. She loves the wilderness and the natural challenges it provides for her character. Erica is driven by her heart and her passions. By combining photography and hiking she is combining two strongest passions in her life. The composition so humbly provided in nature is obvious as one looks at her works of art. Erica offers a variety of ways to capture life and share it with others. She is willing to do standard portraits as well as hike or climb to capture the perfect image. Let Erica's artistry capture your moments.
